Amazon’s New EMI Scheme for Kindle and Paperwhite
Amazon today stated to the customers in India that they can
buy Kindle reader and Kindle Fire tablet on Easy Monthly Instalment in India.
Customers can purchase Kindle in instalment for Rs500 and
paper white for Rs900 per month. Consumers who are interested to buy Kindle and
Paperwhite can avail EMI from Citi Bank, HDFC and ICICI Bank when purchase made for Rs300 and
above on www.amazon.in. The amount can be
paid back within Three, Six, Nine and Twelve months tenure.
In addition to the above banks three more banks are joining to
offer EMI option from over 250 retail outlet across India.
The monthly instalment is limited period offer on all
devices for New Generation Kindle Whitepaper (Wi- Fi) and the basic Kindle
6-inch eink model.
At this initial promotion period, Amazon has reduced the
cost of two devices. The New Generation Kindle Whitepaper can be purchased at
Rs 10,080 (Its actual cost 10,999), the basic Kindle model will cost Rs 5,600
(Its actual cost 5,999). This special offer is valid till April 15 2014
The 6th generation Kindle Paperwhite comes with a
modern e-reader display that promises better contrast and reflectivity. The
pages will look as clear as from a physical book, says the company. The built
in light guides light toward the surface of the displayer so that users can
read easily without eyestrain.
The New Generation Kindle Paperwhite is only 206 grams
weight and powered by a 25% speed processor for quick page turns. The company guarantees
19% lighter touch grid that makes the device respond more accurately to the
little touches.
Customers can also see content using the inbuilt dictionary
or on Wikipedia. Every time when a word is entered in the dictionary the vocabulary
builder adds it to an eassy access. It automatically backs up your kindle books
in the cloud and also says to you how much time it will take to finish a
chapter or a book based on your previous reading speed.
